Solution:

SRDL is developing 3 high-efficiency WTE hubs in Komarock, Kikuyu, and Lukenya, diverting 300–600 tons/day from Dandora and landfills.

Impact:

• Reduces methane emissions: One ton of waste avoided = 0.5–1.2 tons CO₂e saved (UNEP, 2022)

• Generates clean electricity for 25,000+ homes per hub

• Cuts illegal dumping and environmental crime networks

• Creates 600+ direct jobs per WTE node
